Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), in collaboration with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission is offering a PhD Scholarship in Optimizing Battery Performance & Durability. The project involves experimental research and modeling of Li-ion batteries to extend their lifetime and improve safety.
To be eligible for the PhD Scholarship, applicants must hold a master’s degree in Energy, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. They must have strong programming skills in Matlab or Python and a solid understanding of Li-ion battery technologies.
