This exciting opportunity focuses on advancing water quality models using high-resolution data and evaluating nature-based solutions in Irish agricultural catchments.

The scholarship program is open to domestic and international students who must hold a first-class or 2.1 honours degree or a master’s in a relevant field such as environmental science, geography, geoscience, engineering hydrology, mathematics, or statistics.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in Environmental Sciences, Geography, Geosciences, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering Hydrology, or related disciplines offered by Trinity College Dublin.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Hold a first-class or 2.1 honours degree or a Master’s degree in a relevant field.

    • Demonstrate experience or strong interest in field work, numerical/statistical modelling, and water quality issues.

    • Be technically minded and self-motivated with an interest in environmental modelling and data analysis.

    • Be fluent in English (non-native speakers must meet TCD language requirements).

    • Hold a full, clean Irish/EU driving licence.

    • Have experience with statistical computing tools such as R, Python, or C.
