Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants from all countries are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship will be awarded in Development Studies, within the PhD Programme in Educational Sciences for Teacher Education.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a master’s degree (120 ECTS) in Development Studies or an equivalent field.

  • Achieve a grade of B or better on the master’s thesis (exceptions apply for C grade with overall B average).

  • Demonstrate strong academic competence and relevant research or development experience.

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English or a Scandinavian language.

  • Submit a project proposal aligned with OsloMet’s focus on development, sustainability, education, inequality, and global issues.

  • Meet the admission criteria for the PhD Programme in Educational Sciences for Teacher Education.

  • Candidates with fieldwork experience or regional knowledge of the Global South are especially encouraged to apply.
