Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for research in Machine Learning, within the Department of Informatics at UiO.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a Master’s degree (or be in the final stages of completing one) in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data science, or related fields.

  • Strong background in statistics and linear algebra.

  • Foreign completed degree (M.Sc.-level) equivalent to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Bachelor’s degree average grade: C or better (Norwegian scale).

  • Master’s degree average grade: B or better (Norwegian scale).

  • Master’s thesis grade: B or better (Norwegian scale).

  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
