Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The PhD position will be awarded in Side-Channel Analysis, Machine Learning, and Hardware Security offered by the Faculty of Science at the University of Amsterdam.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Hold (or be close to completing) an MSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Have a strong interest in hardware security, applied cryptography, and side-channel analysis.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in machine learning, signal processing, and/or cryptography.

  • Be fluent in written and spoken English with good presentation skills.

  • Show willingness to collaborate in a highly international research team.

  • Experience with cryptographic implementations (C, Assembly, HDL), or side-channel and fault attacks (Python, Matlab, lab experience) will be considered a plus.
