The University of Twente is inviting applications for a PhD Position in Real-Time Multimodal Construction Transport Optimization & AI-Driven Decision Support. This four-year doctoral opportunity focuses on developing innovative AI-based and optimization-driven decision-support systems to enable efficient, low-emission multimodal logistics for prefabricated construction.
Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Transport Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates should have a strong interest or background in optimization, simulation, data-driven modelling, decision support systems, and AI. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international, multi-partner research environment is essential.
