The University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, invites applications for PhD Position in Nutrition and Survival of Newborn Piglets, starting 1 January 2026. The project focuses on developing a novel colostrum-replacer to improve the survival and health of at-risk neonatal piglets, with a broader aim of reducing morbidity and mortality among neonates.
The PhD project is part of a research program funded by Grøn Udviklings- og Demonstrations-Program (GUDP) and focuses on developing and testing a novel colostrum-replacer for at-risk neonatal piglets to improve survival and health outcomes. The broader aim is to reduce morbidity and mortality among neonates (both animal and human infants) through nutritional and medical interventions.
