Radboud University, Faculty of Science, is inviting applications for a PhD Position in Applied Infrared Spectroscopy with Ultrabroadband Sources. The successful candidate will join the Trace Detection Laboratory (TDLab) to develop and apply advanced laser-based spectroscopic instruments for real-world applications such as environmental monitoring, industrial gas analysis, and green hydrogen research.

To be eligible for this PhD position, applicants must hold a master’s degree in physics (photonics), electrical engineering, or a related field, with a solid background in optics, laser spectroscopy, and signal-processing techniques. Experience with lasers, spectroscopy, and programming tools such as Matlab, LabView, or Python is considered an advantage.
