The Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical research centre in London, which was established in 2010 and opened in 2016. It has 1,500 staff, including 1,250 scientists, and an annual budget of over £100 million,[6] making it the biggest single biomedical laboratory in Europe.

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Candidates of all nationalities can apply
  • Appropriate research experience as part of, or outside of, a university degree course, or a master’s degree in a relevant subject

Offered Benefits

The award will be provided in the following manner:

  • £22,000 tax-free student stipend (living allowance) per year for four years
  • Tuition fees

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Applicants must have to complete the online PhD application at the institute.
  • Supporting Documents: Submit project details, statements, references and other documents.
  • Admission Requirements: Students must have a first/upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent from a non-UK university) in a relevant subject.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants do not need to submit information relating to English language skills during the application process. If you are offered a Crick PhD studentship we will provide you with information on the English language requirements.
