RMIT University is providing the PhD International Scholarship in Identifying Neighbourhoods Support Children with Disability for the academic session 2024/2025.

The scholarship program is designed to support and recognize outstanding international students pursuing PhD degree studies at RMIT University. This PhD scholarship is funded as part of an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship. It aims to investigate the types of neighbourhoods that support the wellbeing of Australian children with disabilities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by RMIT University
  • Admissible Criteria:
    • Meet RMIT’s entry requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy program
    • Hold first-class honours or equivalent in a relevant discipline
    • Possess a strong background in quantitative research and methods
    • Demonstrate a sound understanding of statistics, with experience in using multi-level statistical software
    • Desired qualifications include excellent written and communication skills, capacity to work independently and as part of a team, and lived experience of disability (preferred)
    • Applicants must be living in Australia upon commencement of the PhD. Overseas student health cover is not included in the scholarship.

Offered Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a full-time stipend of $33,826 per annum. The duration of this scholarship is for 3 years full-time with the possibility of up to two six-month extensions. Additionally, there will be no tuition fees for the duration of the PhD program.
