PhD students who want to enrol at the Department of Psychology at the University of Warwick to start their programme in October/November 2022 are eligible to be considered for this fellowship. The applicants must have an upper second-class undergraduate degree in Psychology or similar and relevant experience. Selected fellows will be provided £4,596 for tuition fees, a maintenance grant of £16,062 and an additional £8,000 for travel expenses for up to three years and six months.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All home country national students and international students can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for a PhD in Psychology offered at the Department of Psychology of the University of Warwick.

Offered Benefits

The candidates selected by the University of Warwick for this PhD fellowship are entitled to receive tuition fees at the ‘Home’ (UK) rate of £4,596 and a maintenance grant of £16,062 per annum for three years and six months. Additional annual travel funding of up to £8000 may also be granted.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: All interested applicants must submit their admission applications on the university portal. To apply for the fellowship, students must specify in the “Finance and Funding” section of the form that they wish to be considered for a PhD Fellowship and their proposed supervisor Professor Dieter Wolke.
  • Supporting Documents: The applicants must submit a CV (2 pages maximum, including references) and a cover document (3 pages maximum) detailing why they are a suitable candidate and any relevant background or research experience.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have an Upper Second-Class undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related field, but preferably a First Class undergraduate degree or a Master’s distinction in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Social Science or epidemiology.
