The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a PhD Fellowship in University Statistics Education at the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Science.

Applicants must hold an MSc degree in Statistics and/or Data Science with a strong mathematical background. They should have experience teaching statistics or data science to natural science students and possess a high level of Danish language proficiency. Research experience in statistics education and strong interdisciplinary communication skills will be considered advantageous.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants from all nationalities are welcome.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship will be awarded in University Statistics Education, within the fields of Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, or Didactics of Mathematics/Statistics.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold an MSc degree in Statistics and/or Data Science with a strong mathematical component.

  • Have experience teaching statistics or data science to natural science students.

  • Demonstrate the ability to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.

  • Possess proficiency in Danish, as part of the research involves data collection from teaching in Danish.

  • Have research experience or publications relevant to statistics education (advantageous).

  • Fulfill the eligibility requirements for the PhD programme at the Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen.
