The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a PhD fellowship in Cell Biology and Physiology, focusing on mitochondrial function and network dynamics. Funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark, the project aims to explore the role of PDK4 in regulating mitochondrial activity and structure in skeletal muscle through advanced laboratory and imaging techniques.
Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biomedicine, or a related field. They should have a solid background in cell biology and physiology, with hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, confocal microscopy, and preferably work with transgenic mice. A strong interest in mitochondrial biology, good laboratory skills, and proficiency in written and spoken English are also required.
