The Rotary Club of Tokyo-West is excited to announce the Pacific Basin Group (PBG) Friendship Scholarship for the academic years 2024-25 and 2025-26. This $10,000 scholarship supports undergraduate students from Micronesia, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and Palau who are pursuing their degrees at the University of Guam.
The scholarship program is open to undergraduate students from the Federated States of Micronesia, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and Palau who are in the final 60 credit hours of their degree at the University of Guam or transferring from a 2-year college.The University of Guam (UOG) is a premier institution located in Mangilao, Guam, offering diverse undergraduate and graduate programs that cater to the unique needs of the Pacific region. Established in 1952, UOG serves as a hub for education, research, and cultural exchange, with a strong focus on sustainability and community development. The university is renowned for its commitment to fostering leadership and innovation, particularly among students from Guam, Micronesia, and neighboring islands.
University of Guam Information
Founded in 1952, University of Guam is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the rural setting of the medium-sized town of Mangilao (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the WASC Senior College and University Commission, University of Guam (UOG) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 3,000-3,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Guam (UOG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. Application Process
Interested applicants must complete the application form and submit all required documents, including evidence of financial need and academic progress, to the University of Guam Financial Aid Office (c/o Private Scholarship Coordinators). Applicants outside Guam must obtain a recommendation from their local Rotary Club.
