Oxford–Adara Foundation MBA Scholarship For Young African Women 2024-2025 for Master


The Adara Foundation, a non-profit social enterprise in Nigeria, focuses on empowering women and advancing education in Africa. The Foundation shares Saïd Business School’s commitment to greater gender parity in education and supports our aim to foster a global MBA community with representation from all over the world.

The scholarship, open to female candidates of an African nationality, covers the full MBA programme fee and living expenses. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to return to their home country upon completion of the one-year MBA programme to contribute to Africa’s business and socio-economic development. The scholarships will be available for the 2024-25 academic year and no separate application will be needed as all students meeting the criteria will automatically be considered.

Oxford–Adara Foundation MBA Scholarship For Young African Women 2024-2025 for Master Founded in 1096, University of Oxford is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Oxford (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Oxford is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Oxford offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 923 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 20-30% making this UK higher education organization a very selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to female candidates who are ordinarily resident in and a national of an African country.

  • Open to female candidates of an African nationality, with a preference for a candidate of Nigerian nationality.
  • Candidates must be ordinarily resident in a state outside of the European Economic Area including the UK, and intending to return to their home country upon completion of the MBA programme.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to contribute to Africa’s development.
  • The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit.

Additional requirements

The successful scholar will be asked by the Adara Foundation to work on a project contributing to Africa’s development during or after the programme.

There is no fixed application deadline for this scholarship. 

All eligible offer-holders will be considered after each MBA admissions deadline however, we cannot guarantee the availability of this scholarship in our later application stages, so early application to the MBA programme is recommended.
