The Ornua Scholarship is open to those who have applied and accepted a place on the MSc in Co-operatives, Agri-Food and Sustainable Development. It is valued at €12,500.

Ornua is a dairy co-operative which sells dairy products on behalf of its Members; Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers.

Ornua Scholarship: MSc Co-operatives, Agri-Food and Sustainable Development for Master Founded in 1845, University College Cork is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Cork (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), County Cork. Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must secure a minimum Second Class Honours Grade 1 in an approved primary degree or equivalent.
  • Students must have applied for the MSc Co-operatives, Agri-Food and Sustainable Development via the UCC Applications System, have received an offer and have accepted a place on the programme to qualify to apply for the Scholarship.
  • Students must be EU/UK applicants

Application Process

Applications must be made using the application form on the website and include a short personal statement in response to the following (max. 1000 words):
“What impact would achieving this scholarship have for you?”
A shortlist of students will be chosen and an interview will take place to discuss your application. The judging panel will include the co directors of the programme and a representative from Ornua Co-operatives Limited.
Applicants must name at least two referees – one academic and one professional.
