Orion Master’s Energy International Scholarship at University of Canterbury in New Zealand, 2020 Established in 1873, University of Canterbury is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Christchurch (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Canterbury. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, New Zealand, University of Canterbury (UC) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Canterbury (UC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 146 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Master’s degree program in Energy Processing Technologies and Renewable Engineering.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following criteria:
  • The grant is tenable for enrolment of up to 120 points, by students who are enrolled at the University in either:
  • A program for a master’s degree that includes a thesis, dissertation, or research project with a credit weighting of at least 90 points relating to the energy field in the broadest sense; or
  • A program for a MEngSt (Renewable Energy) degree that includes a 30-point research project.

Offered Benefits

The University of Canterbury will provide $ 16,500 for domestic and international students to study for a master’s degree in research related to the energy field.

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for the opportunity , candidates are recommended to take admission in the master’s degree coursework at the University of Canterbury. After getting enrolled, they must have to submit the online application.

  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission, applicants must meet the entry requirements of the program.
