Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The program is available for an undergraduate degree course in any subject areas
  • Admissible Criteria: To eligible, the aspirants must meet all the following:
  • The student must be a UND, full-time, any degree-seeking, an international student taking courses on the Grand Forks campus o Exchange student status does not meet this requirement
  • The student must be in valid F-1 status with the Department of Homeland Security by the start of the academic term in which The grant is to be awarded
  • The student must be in good financial standing at UND
  • To qualify, students must fall under one of the below categories:
  • Canadian students of Finnish ancestry
  • Finnish students of Finnish ancestry
  • Bahamian students
  • Students should exhibit traits in the following:
  • Strong work ethic
  • Sound moral character
  • Proven record of academic achievement
  • Potential for leadership in career achievement

Offered Benefits

The University of North Dakota will provide an award amount of $1,000 to the high achieving students for the academic year 2021/2022.
