NSHSS Foundation Earth Day Awards for International Students in the USA for Course Established in 1925, University of Miami is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Coral Gables (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Florida.   • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to an Undergraduate degree in any subject offered by the university.

  • Applicants must be high school students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicants may be U.S. or international students.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students are required to complete an online application. All students that meet the eligibility criteria will be considered.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit all the following documents:
  • Recommendation Letter
  • The prompt response of 500-800 words to the following question:
  • What environmental project are you working on currently? Explain your process, the project’s impact on your community, and how it will impact the future.
  • Additional materials that support your prompt response (can be video, photos, etc.)
  • Color headshot suitable for website posting
  • Academic resume
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a previous degree certificate with excellent grades.
  • Language Requirement: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good written and spoken English level.
