The NNPC/Renaissance Joint Venture Niger Delta Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme is a prestigious initiative aimed at supporting academically outstanding students from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria in pursuing postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. 2025 NNPC - RENAISSANCE JV Niger Delta Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme for Master Established in 1495, University of Aberdeen is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Aberdeen (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Scotland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of Aberdeen (UA) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Aberdeen (UA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 524 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have been offered admission to study on one of the Eligible Courses at the College having applied through the normal application process;
  • display intellectual ability and leadership potential;
  • have an adequate standard of English (at least 6.5 in IELTS) and meet the College’s language requirement.
  • already hold (or expect to hold by the time of taking up the Scholarship) a degree of an equivalent standard to a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree
  • must have completed their National Youth Service by September 2025
  • be ordinarily resident in the Rivers, Imo, Delta or Bayelsa State of Nigeria, and who intend to return to Nigeria at the end of the period of study
  • have not already had the chance of studying in the UK or other developed country.
  • be aged between 21-28 years by 30/09/2025.
  • currently reside in Nigeria
  • plan to return to Nigeria on completion of the proposed programme of study.
  • have a Nigerian international passport valid till December 2026
  • not be Employees, employees’ relatives (or former employees who have left employment less than 5 years before) of Renaissance Africa Energy Company or the College will not be eligible to apply for the Scholarships.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship covers the following:

  • Full tuition fees for one of the eligible postgraduate programs

  • One economy class return flight from Nigeria to the UK

  • A contribution towards living expenses for the duration of the program
