Newcastle University International PhD Scholarship in Environmental Archaeology, UK Founded in 1963, Newcastle University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Newcastle upon Tyne (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North East England. Newcastle University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Offered Benefits

The university will provide 100% of UK/EU/International tuition fees paid and an annual stipend (living expenses) of £15,490.00 pa.

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for the award, applicants must apply through the University’s online postgraduate application system.

  • Admission Requirements: For admission, applicants a high 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, or equivalent, in archaeology or a related subject area.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language we require you to meet the following English language requirements: Direct Entry: IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.5 in writing, and 5.5 in all other sub-skills).
