The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) invites applications from qualified indigenes of the Niger Delta region for its Local Master’s Postgraduate Scholarship Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. The scholarship supports Master’s degree studies in accredited Nigerian universities across key fields relevant to regional and national development.

Requirements for NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship

Must be an indigene of the Niger Delta region

Under 40 years old
-
Hold at least a Second Class Lower Bachelor's degree (or First/Second Class Upper); or HND (Upper Credit) or PGD
-
Possess a valid admission letter for a Master’s program at a recognized Nigerian university

Must have completed NYSC (with discharge or exemption certificate)
Selection Process
SELECTION PROCESS
1. Initial Application Interested candidates must complete and submit an online application via the Commission's Website.
2. Preliminary Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the following criteria:
- WASSCE/NECO results
- Undergraduate degree classification (1st Class, Second Class Upper/Lower), PGD etc.
- Valid Local Government Identification
3. Computer-Based Test (CBT): Shortlisted candidates will undergo a computer-based test conducted by our consultants at the designated centres in Akwa Ibom, Delta and Rivers States.
Candidates must indicate their preferred zone on the registration portal.
4. Minimum Test Score: Candidates must attain a minimum score of 70% in the CBT to qualify for the next stage.
5. Further Shortlisting: Candidates who meet the minimum test
