National Humanities Center International Fellowship in the USA Established in 1964, University of Guelph is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Guelph (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ontario. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Ridgetown, Kemptville. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, University of Guelph (U of G) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Guelph (U of G) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 55 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Canadian higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: International applicants will be considered.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The sponsorship will be awarded for doctoral study in any subject
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet the given criteria:
  • Applicants must have a doctorate or equivalent scholarly credentials.
  • Mid-career and senior scholars are encouraged to apply.
  • Emerging scholars with a strong record of peer-reviewed work may also apply. The Center does not support the revision of doctoral dissertations.
  • In addition to scholars from all fields of the humanities, individuals from the natural and social sciences, the arts, the professions, and public life who are engaged in humanistic projects are also invited.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: The vice president (research) invites nominations for this fellowship. If you desire to nominate a colleague or to be considered for VPR nomination, provide an Expression of Interest (EOI) to [email protected]
  • If your nomination is submitted by a nominator other than the VPR, submit directly to the sponsor before the external deadline to [email protected] Get detailed information here.
  • Supporting Documents: A draft letter (two-three pages) addressed to the VPR, signed by your ADR, CV for the nominee, and A copy of the full nomination and OR-5.
  • Admission Requirements: Entry requirements for University courses vary from university to university. However you must have the following: Transcripts, Copy of passport, Copy of English certificate, and A statement
  • Language Requirement: To be eligible to take admission, you must meet the language requirements that are varied university to university.
