Kickstart your studies in the world of music by joining this Musicians Institute Melodic Soloing Guitar international awards in the USA for the session 2021/2022. The grant is generously funded by an MI Guitar Program alumnus.

The funding programme supports domestic and international students who demonstrate outstanding musicianship and expresses their own unique melodic voice as a soloist on the instrument in any musical style.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Associate of Arts in Performance (Guitar) Program.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • Must maintain enrollment at 12 units (fulltime status) during the full length of the award period. Failure to maintain enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in the program for the full duration of the support will result in withdrawal of the award.
  • The studentships are nontransferable, and may not be applied to any person, program or start date other than the one for which it was awarded.

Offered Benefits

Musicians Institute will provide award of $1,500.00 tuition credit to be applied to the first quarter of the program.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for the opportunity s, applicants must complete and submit an online application.
  • Supporting Documents: Must submit YouTube video that must contain at a minimum: you performing three (3) songs that clearly demonstrate your improvisational melodic soloing abilities in any genre on the electric and/or acoustic guitar. Applicants are required to include three (3) live ensemble (band or duo) performances.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must maintain enrollment at 12 units (fulltime status) during the full length of award period.
  • Language Requirement: If your education has not been conducted in the English language, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency.
