This award is named after David Parry Williams (1900-1996), the first Head of School of Music at Bangor; by a generous gift from his daughter, the late Ann Lloyd Jones. For over a decade now, the Parry Williams fund has supported excellent undergraduate and postgraduate students in Music.
Several smaller bursaries of £1,000-2,000 are awarded annually, and roughly every 3 years, a PhD scholarship (£7,500 p.a.) is advertised.
