Music Composition Scholarships for International Students at Capital University, USA for Bachelor Established in 1830, Capital University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the medium-sized city of Columbus (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Ohio. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Higher Learning Commission, Capital University is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 4,000-4,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Lutheran religion. Capital University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 189 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this US higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Students entering the USA from all international countries are eligible to apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Traditional undergraduate conservatory of the music programme is eligible to undertake.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be enrolled as full-time composition majors at the university.

Offered Benefits

The winning international students will receive up to $3,500 towards the undertaken undergraduate conservatory of music programme by the university.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students can create an account or log in on the application portal of the university to complete the applications process. Students that get accepted in the applied programme will be considered for the award.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • High school transcripts
  • Visa
  • Post-secondary certificate
  • Passport photocopy
  • Admission Requirements: The students must hold a cumulative GPA of 2.00 minimum to get into the composition major at CU.
  • Language Requirement: The applicants are required to attain minimum scores in the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL PBT – 500
  • TOEFL IBT – 61
  • IELTS – 6.0
