Nice offer for young international researchers to study in FranceEstablished in 2018, the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) initiative has met with worldwide enthusiasm, developing terms of welfare from multiple positively talented students and researchers. As a main player in the battle against climate change and guarantor of the nature of the Paris Agreement, France is founding a new MOPGA visiting fellowship program geared towards supporting scientific assistance to climate change issues raised by the COPs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: No nationality restrictions (except FRANCE).
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in PhD degree in any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Applicants who do NOT hold French citizenship
  • Foreign researchers holding a doctoral degree for less than five years (must have passed their thesis defense between January 2017 and January 2023)
  • Foreign researchers living abroad (not in France) since at least the 1st of September, 2022 (more than 90 days).

  • Moving allowance of 500 euros
  • Support for social security coverage
  • Support for health insurance.
  • 40 fellowships will be awarded over a 12-month period.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: All candidates must complete an online application to start the application procedure.
  • Supporting Documents: The applicants are required to provide the following documents:
  • CV including the list of your publications in English (4 pages max)
  • PhD Diploma (or certificate of PhD diploma)
  • CV of your research supervisor in the French host institution (2 pages max)
  • Letter of support from the French host institution
  • Letters of recommendation (3 max)
  • Passport or proof of ID.
  • Admission Requirements: Foreign researchers holding a doctoral degree for less than five years.
  • Language Requirement: All eligible applicants must have excellent proficiency in the English language.
