The educational award has the purpose of supporting Malaysian citizens who are national athletes and represented Malaysia in sports for undertaking an undergraduate degree program at the university.

The educational bursary will provide an amount of RM5, 000 per semester, subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress and sporting performance, as determined by Monash Malaysia.
