This scholarship is an integral part of MOL’s corporate citizenship initiative, aiming to foster the development of highly skilled human resources, primarily from African countries.

The program’s objective is to contribute to the future economic development of countries in Africa and other regions by offering financial assistance to students from nations with close ties to MOL.

MOL Scholarships for International Students in Japan for Course Established in 1982, International University of Japan is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the rural setting of the large town of Minamiuonuma (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Niigata. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan, International University of Japan (IUJ) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 250-499 students) coeducational higher education institution. International University of Japan (IUJ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 37 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Japanese higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Primarily targeted at graduate students from African countries
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Open to students pursuing any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet all specified criteria, including enrollment at IUJ in 2024
