Mobile Maintenance EDU-Syria/EDU-Jordan Scholarships at Luminus Technical University College, Jordan Founded in 2005, German Jordanian University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large city of Amman (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Jordan, German Jordanian University (GJU) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. German Jordanian University (GJU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 14 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Jordan and Syria
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any course and subject offered by the Luminus Technical University College in Jordan.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the Jordanians and Syrian applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • The applicant must have at least a tenth-grade certificate (Pass).
  • The applicant’s age should be between eighteen and twenty-eight years old.
  • The applicant should obtain an initial acceptance approval from Luminus Technical University College (This does not mean acceptance for the scholarship).
  • The applicant must be of Jordanian nationality: An underprivileged Jordanian who is a beneficiary from one of the following aid organizations: National Aid Fund, Tkiyet Um Ali, Al Aman Fund, or Al Zakat Fund.
  • The applicant must be a beneficiary from one of the following aid organizations: National Aid Fund, Tkiyet Um Ali, Al Aman Fund, Al Zakat Fund
  • The applicant must be of Syrian nationality: Syrian refugees who are holders of the Asylum Seeker Certificate from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
  • The applicant should hold the UNHCR Asylum Seeker Certificate.
  • The applicant should hold a security card (Ministry of Interior card) for Syrian.

Offered Benefits

The project cooperates with the UNHCR to identify Syrian refugee eligible for the scholarships, and with Jordanian aid funds: National Aid Fund, Tkiyet Um Ali, Al-Aman Fund, and Zakat Fund, to identify the underprivileged Jordanian beneficiaries.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To obtain a scholarship, applicants must follow the given steps:
  • Step 1: Visit Luminus Technical University College (Amman branch for registration in Amman and Irbid branch for registration in Irbid), with all the required documents in order to obtain an initial acceptance document (this does not mean acceptance in the scholarship).
  • Step 2: After obtaining the initial acceptance document Apply for the scholarships by registering in the application system.
  • Registration on the online application system is mandatory and no application will be considered otherwise.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit all the following required documents:
  • Jordanians:
  • Copy of the national identification card.
  • Copy of the beneficiary proof of National Aid Fund or Tkiyet Um Ali or Al Aman Fund or Al Zakat Fund.
  • The initial acceptance approval from Luminus Technical University College.
  • Syrians:
  • Copy of the security card or Syrians (Ministry of Interior card).
  • Copy of the UNHCR Asylum Seeker Certificate.
  • Copy of the birth certificate or Passport (if available).
  • The initial acceptance approval from Luminus Technical University College.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicant should have an active email to create an account for the online application. Kindly note that students must not come accompanied by their parents when submitting their applications.
  • Language Requirement: English skills are required as well as Jordan country language knowledge.
