Microsoft 2025 Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Research Internship eMPIRICA is a for-profit private higher education institution located in the large town of Brcko (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Brcko District. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Odjeljenje za obrazovanje, Brcko distrikta (Department of Education, Brcko District), eMPIRICA is a coeducational higher education institution. eMPIRICA offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

Required:

  • Enrollment in a PhD program relevant to AI, ML, or RL.
  • Commitment to working onsite at the assigned Microsoft location during the internship.

Preferred:

  • Experience with theoretical or empirical research in ML, deep learning, RL, or large language models.
  • Strong publication record in top research venues.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across groups and cultures.
  • Creative and unconventional problem-solving skills.

Base Pay Range:

  • $6,550–$12,880/month (standard locations).
  • $8,480–$13,920/month (San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area).
