Founded in 1907, Kyushu Institute of Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Kitakyushu (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Fukuoka. Eligibility Criteria
(1) Applicants :
Applicants must be graduate level International students who are newly coming to Japan. They must have demonstrated excellent academic degree and will be expected to maintain a scholastic performance level of 2.30 * during the scholarship period. Applicants must also satisfy one of the conditions of language ability (6) as below.
(2) Nationality
Applicants must have the nationality of a country which has diplomatic relations with the Japanese government. Applicants who has Japanese nationality at the time of application is not eligible.
(3) Age
applicant must have been born after April 2, 1986.
Exceptions are limited to case in which MEXT deems that the applicant could not apply within the eligible age limit due to circumstances in the applicant's country
(eg military service obligation, loss of education opportunities due to conditions of war)
Personal circumstances (financial situation, family) ) circumstances, state of health, circumstances related to applicant's university or place of employment, etc.) will not be considered for exception
(4) Academic background
Applicants must satisfy the qualifications requirements to enter a master's course or
Doctoral course in a graduate school of Kyushu Institute of Technology. (Applicants who are certain to satisfy the requirements with certainly by the time of enrollment are also eligible)
(5) Field of study
Applicants should apply for the field of study they majored at university or related field and the field will be able to study at School of Computer Science and System Engineering (Robotics, Control System)
(6) Language ability
Applicants must have either Japanese or English ability (must be higher than or equal CEFR B2 for English or JLPT N2 for Japanese)
(7) Health
The applicants must submit a medical certificate in the prescribed that the applicants are healthy, and have no both physically and mentally problems in studying in Japan
