The objectives of the Merit Scholarship for Foreign Students program are to support the internalization of research activities in Quebec’s higher education institutions, to attract top foreign researchers and students and promote international recognition of Quebec universities and College Centres for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT) and to create cultural links and pave the way for the setting up of joint scientific research projects.

Merit Scholarship Program for Foreign Students (PBEEE) at Concordia University 2026 Founded in 1974, Concordia University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Montréal (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Quebec. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Québec (Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Quebec), Concordia University (CU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. Concordia University (CU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 45 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Offered Benefits

Master’s: $20,000 per year, up to two years. 

Doctoral: $25,000 per year, up to three years.

Postdoctoral: $35,000 per one year.

Short-term research: $3,000 per month, up to four months.
