Medicine: Fully Funded Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW) PhD Scholarship at Swansea Established in 1920, Swansea University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Swansea (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Wales. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Swansea University is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Swansea University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 99 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a minimum of upper second class Honours degree in a relevant discipline (medicine; genetics; biochemistry, chemistry).

For candidates whose first language is not English, we require IELTS 6.5 (with 5.5 in each component) or equivalent. Please visit our website for a list of acceptable English language tests.

Due to funding restrictions, this scholarship is open to UK/EU candidates only.

Offered Benefits

This scholarship covers the full cost of UK/EU tuition fees and an annual stipend of £15,009. Funding for consumables is included.
