The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1582, is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities. Our MBA scholarships attract candidates with strong qualifications, work experience and/or strong leadership skills.

Ancestral Scholarships

The Business School will for the first time be offering scholarships for those with Scottish ancestry to celebrate the Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology in 2017. This scholarship is available to those looking to study on any of our full-time Masters programmes or MBA starting in September 2017.

The Dixons Carphone Scholarships

These exciting scholarships, donated by one of the Europe’s leading retail brands, offers a £5,000 bursary towards tuition fees. To be eligible, candidates must demonstrate qualifications or experience in business analytics, data science or digital marketing.

Postcode Lottery - Green Challenge Scholarships (£20,000)

Generous MBA/MSc Scholarships for Applicants with a Compelling Green Business Idea

The University of Edinburgh has linked-up with the Postcode Lottery to offer a number of scholarships of up to £20,000 for students wishing to study on our Full-time MBA, MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, MSc in International Business & Emerging Markets, MSc in Management, MSc Carbon Finance, MSc Carbon Management, or MSc Carbon Capture & Storage programme from September 2017. The scholarships are being offered to encourage strong UK graduates to pursue postgraduate study linked to sustainable business, particularly those graduates who are entrepreneurially minded and have a green business idea that they might eventually commercialise.

MBA Leadership Scholarships

The Business School will offer five MBA Leadership Scholarships, each with a value of £10,000, to candidates who can demonstrate strong leadership experience or potential and have at least 5 year's work experience.

Grant Property Entrepreneurship Scholarship

This Scholarship, donated by successful entrepreneur and Edinburgh alumnus Peter Grant, offers a £5,000 bursary towards tuition fees. In addition to meeting the entry requirements for the MBA, applicants must demonstrate successful prior experience of entrepreneurship activity, including adding value/revenue through innovation in a commercial context.

MBA Merit Scholarships

The Business School will offer three MBA Merit Scholarships, each with a value of £5,000, to candidates who can demonstrate exceptional prior qualifications.

MBA Diversity Scholarships

The Business School will offer three MBA Diversity Scholarships, each with a value of £5,000, to candidates who enhance the diversity of cultures or perspectives on the Edinburgh MBA.

MBA Achievement Scholarships

The Business School will offer four MBA Achievement Scholarships, each with a value of £5,000, to candidates who can demonstrate successful prior achievement in contributing to the improvement of a business, social or public organisation.

The Victor H Loewenstein Scholarship

The Victor H. Loewenstein Scholarship is awarded to one student on our Full-time MBA programme who is from outside the UK. The aim is to enhance the international nature of the MBA programme.
