Students who want to take part in a scheme of collaborative research, are invited by the Centre of African Studies of the Maynooth University to apply for the International PhD Scholarships in Repurposing for the academic year 2023-2024.

The studentship opportunity is open to applicants must be enrolled in a PhD study program at Maynooth University. The scholarship will entail a fixed maintenance award of €18,500 per annum and full annual tuition fees support for four years of study (at EU fees

Maynooth University International PhD Scholarships in Repurposing, Ireland Founded in 1997, Maynooth University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the medium-sized town of Maynooth (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), County Kildare. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree will be awarded in Repurposing as innovation strategy in the
    biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Both an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in a business-related subject or another discipline that
    is relevant for the project to a minimum of 2.1 honours or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
  • Openness to both qualitative and quantitative forms of data analytics.
  •  Willingness to employ data driven approaches to solving questions and developing recommendations
    for academics and practitioners.
  • Curiosity about understanding the relationships between repurposing, innovation strategies, and
    performance.
  • Patience, hard work, and flexibility.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to details and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a research environment.
  • Strong commitment to their own continuous professional development.

Offered Benefits

This scholarship provides the student with an annual stipend of €18,500 and a PhD fee waiver. The scholarship is for four consecutive years of study, subject to satisfactory annual progression and continued conformity with the terms and conditions of the scholarship and the policies of the PhD programme of the School of Business.

  • How to Apply: To apply for the grant, applicants must take admission in PhD degree at the university. After that, they can apply through an application made via https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/studymaynooth/postgraduate-studies/courses/phd-business-management
  • Supporting Documents: Applications should include:
  •  A cover letter explaining the applicant’s motivation and interest in the project topic. Please include any relevant background and/or experience.
  • A Curriculum Vitae which includes the applicant’s educational qualifications and any scientific publications and/or achievements.
  •  Academic transcripts.
  •  Two academic references
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a primary degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent with a grade of 2.1H or higher.
  • Language Requirement: High proficiency in English language skills. Evidence of English language proficiency for non-native
    speakers is essential to be available no later than 15th of August 2023 for the October 2023 start of the
    programme. Minimum English language requirements:
    ? IELTS: 6.5 minimum overall score
    ? TOEFL (Paper based test): 585
    ? TOEFL (Internet based test): 95
    ? PTE (Pearson): 62
    ? Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
