Maynooth University is welcoming enthusiastic individuals to become a part of the Doctoral Scholarships in the Department of Physics for the academic year 2025/2026.

Applicants must hold a first-class or 2.1 honours degree or a relevant master’s in astrophysics, physics, or computer science. Proficiency in Python programming is an advantage. Non-native English speakers must provide proof of English language competency as required by Maynooth University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to applicants of all nationalities

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for PhD studies in Astrophysics, with a focus on Star Formation

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
    • Hold a first-class or 2.1 honours degree or a relevant Master’s in astrophysics, physics, or computer science
    • Demonstrate good proficiency in Python programming
    • Have a strong interest in machine learning and astronomical data analysis
    • Meet Maynooth University’s English language requirements (for non-native English speakers).
