MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at KNUST, Ghana Founded in 1951, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Kumasi (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ashanti. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Sunyani, Accra. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the National Accreditation Board, Ghana (National Accreditation Board, Ghana), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Overseas students are eligible for this award.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The sponsorship is available for undergraduate degree coursework in any subject area at KNUST.
  • Admissible Criteria: To take part in this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • All Applicants with WASSCE or GBCE or ABCE or GCE O’Level and A’Level or their equivalent results from a recognized institution are eligible for the grant.
  • Students must demonstrate that they have critical economic needs
  • Priority shall be given to females, displaced persons, and persons with disability
  • Candidates must have proven records of leadership and community engagement.

  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must have to submit a high school certificate, three reference letters, Income certificate, transcripts and birth certificate.

  • Language Requirements: Applicants must have to submit any evidence of their English language ability.
