Malcolm Tait Music Education Scholarships for International Students at University of Canterbury, New Zealand for Master Established in 1873, University of Canterbury is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Christchurch (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Canterbury. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, New Zealand, University of Canterbury (UC) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Canterbury (UC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 146 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Each successful scholar will receive the award amount of $1000 to cover their study expenses in New Zealand.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Aspirants are recommended to take admission in the postgraduate degree at the university. After that, you can complete the award application form.
  • Supporting Documents: Each applicant should submit a statement of not more than
  • 1,000 words in support of the application.
  • Admission Requirements: Before starting the admission process, students need to check all necessary entry requirements.
  • Language Requirement: Students must have the following test scores:
  • TOEFL PBT With a minimum score of 550 and TWE with a minimum score of 4.5
  • CCEL EAP Level 2 with a minimum C+ grade
  • CAE or CPE minimum score of 169 with at least 162 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
