The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) is currently soliciting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the UNDP Vocational Training program 2023 targeted at young Nigerian students, graduates and out-of-school citizens. The Training Centres and Skill Acquisition Centres have been put in place to empower the citizens of Lagos in different vocational areas or fields.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligibility for the UNDP Vocational Training Program, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be resident in Lagos state, Nigeria.
- Applicants must be between 18 – 45 years of age
- Applicants must have National Identity Number (NIN)
- Applicants must have LASSRA number
- Passport photograph
- Guarantor’s details
Offered Benefits
The Fund will operate with an initial capital of N25Billion contributed over four years by the Lagos State Government, but will also raise additional funding from various sources including donor partners, development agencies, corporate organizations and individuals.
LSETF will focus on promoting entrepreneurship by improving access to finance, strengthening the institutional capacity of MSMEs and formulating policies designed to improve the business environment in Lagos State. In addition, the Fund will also develop programmes designed to train and place unemployed Lagos residents in jobs; while also focusing on programmes designed to drive innovation within the Lagos ecosystem.
