LLM and PhD programmes scholarships (Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies - TGCL)

The TGCL offers specialised LLM and PhD programmes which focus on regional integration law and approach other areas of law from the regional integration perspective.

The TGCL is the leading academic institution in East Africa for postgraduate studies in the field of regional integration law. Its study programme has a special focus on East African Community law. Students will be qualified to take on responsibility as future leaders in the national, regional and international arenas for the benefit of their societies and communities.

The one-year Master of Laws (LLM) in EAC and Comparative Regional Integration Law provides for a sound understanding of regional integration and East African Community law. Graduates with this degree are well qualified to take over leading positions not only in the public sector, including the judiciary, but also in various fields in the non-governmental sector.

The three-year PhD programme allows for detailed and extensive academic research. It is tailored to be an effective starting point for an academic career.
