Linnaeus University offers scholarships to outstanding students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland through the programme “Linnaeus University Scholarships” and “Linnaeus University Scholarship for Current Students”.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified students for Linnaeus University Scholarships program. Linnaeus University Scholarship programme is offered for students who study master programs. Students can only apply for this scholarship before commencing the programme.

Linnaeus University 2023 Scholarships program for International Students for Master Established in 1977, Linnéuniversitetet (Linnaeus University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Växjö (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Kronoberg County. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Kalmar. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Utbildningsdepartementet, Sverige (Ministry of Education and Research, Sweden), Linnéuniversitetet (LNU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Linnéuniversitetet (LNU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 42 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible to apply if you: 

  • Are from a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland
  • Have applied for a master programme at Linnaeus University via  www.universityadmissions.se, before January 16 AND have sent/ uploaded all required documents before February 1.
  • Have chosen Linnaeus University as your first choice on your application on  www.universityadmissions.se
  • Paid the application fee to  www.universityadmissions.se before February 1.
  • Have filled out the application form before the deadline of the application. 

Offered Benefits

  • Up to 75% reduction of the tuition fees for the rest of the programme.
  • The scholarships is initially granted for one semester, but will automatically be extended for the duration of the study program (2 up to 4 semesters), provided that study results are satisfactory.

  •  Make your programme application at  www.universityadmissions.se by January 16. You have to choose Linnaeus University as your first choice. 
  • Fill out the Scholarship application form along with the required documents, which are listed below before the deadline that is mentioned above.

The motivation letter should contain a maximum of 600 words. Please answer the following questions in your motivation letter:
