Leo Baeck Fellowship Programme

The programme is aimed primarily at doctoral students who carry out research projects in more than one country. It is open to candidates of all nationalities from any type of higher education institution. The fellows are granted a monthly stipend of EUR 1,150 for the duration of 1 year. Travel expenses for research meetings and conferences abroad will be partly refunded on a monthly basis, if applied for. Tuition fees are, however, not covered. Candidates planning to do their doctoral research in Germany and to then submit their theses to a German university may apply for the funding to be renewed after the first year, if the Foundation has available sufficient financial resources.
