The Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research (LACDR) is pleased to announce a prestigious postdoctoral position in Computational Modeling for Drug Safety Prediction. This opportunity aims to support exceptional researchers who are passionate about understanding the intricate interplay between biological networks and chemical compounds.
The primary aim of this postdoctoral project is to predict drug-induced toxicities by utilizing mathematical models of cellular networks involved in resolving molecular stress and models describing the kinetics of compounds of interest. The project seeks to develop novel computational dynamical modeling approaches, which will be based on and fitted to various experimental data quantifying gene expression and cellular responses. Ultimately, these data-driven mechanistic models will describe activity within stress pathways and predict in vivo adversity of chemicals based on this activity.Leiden University is a prestigious research university located in Leiden, the Netherlands.
