Lancaster University Global Scholarships for African Students in UK


The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is providing new Global Scholarships for high-achieving students from African countries at Lancaster University. The funding programme is open for the academic year 20221/2022.

The grant is designed for those who wish to commence a master’s degree programme at the university. The Number of Awards available is limited and scholarships of £3,000 will be offered to high achieving African students.

Lancaster University Global Scholarships for African Students in UK Established in 1964, Lancaster University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the rural setting of the medium-sized town of Lancaster (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), North West England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Lancaster University (LU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Lancaster University (LU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 55 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 20-30% making this UK higher education organization a very selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: African students are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The sponsorship will be awarded to study in master’s degree programs offered by the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Candidates should have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university.

Offered Benefits

The Lancaster University will provide £3,000 tuition to their successful students for the academic year 2021/2022.

  • How to Apply: For an application, applicants need to take admission to the university. After taking admission, they will automatically consider you for a scholarship as part of our standard Master’s application process.
  • Supporting Documents: To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the previous transcripts at the university.
  • Language Requirement: All candidates must be proficient in English so that they can actively participate in the academic program.
