Application Process
Before applying for a doctoral scholarship, applicants must already hold an offer of a place to study in a department in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. They should be due to start their studies between October 2023 and February 2024.

- Supporting Documents: As part of the application, the applicants must submit all the following required documents: An official copy of academic transcripts of previous higher education (college/university) degrees or other courses, two references, at least one must be an academic reference, copies of English language certificate/test results, research proposal, and a personal statement (minimum 100 words) as part of the application process.
- Submit a copy of your passport if you are an international student and need a student visa to study in the UK.
- Admission Requirements: If you are applying for a Practice-based Research PhD you will need to submit a portfolio with your application. In addition to the above requirements, the university requires a PhD Proposal Form.
- Language Requirement: The English language requirements vary depending on the course and department.
