Lamar University is offering the University Scholars Scholarship to support high-achieving students. If you’re a first-time freshman with a strong GPA or qualifying test scores, you could receive $8,000 toward your tuition over four years.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be first-time college freshmen with a high school GPA of 3.50-3.64 on a 5.0 scale and rank in the top 50% of their class, or have qualifying SAT (1010-1070) or ACT (19-21) scores. International students must meet the same SAT/ACT requirements. There is no separate application for this scholarship. Eligible students are automatically considered if they meet the criteria.

- Submit the FAFSA or TASFA using code 003581 by the January 15th priority deadline for additional financial aid opportunities.
