Applications are now open for the Lafayette Fellowships Program for American Students. This prestigious fellowship offers two awards for outstanding U.S. students wishing to pursue their master’s studies at leading French universities. The program aims to promote academic excellence and strengthen educational exchange between France and the United States.

To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be U.S. citizens aged 27 or under by July 1, 2026, and hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution earned between January 2023 and June 2026 with a minimum GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. Knowledge of French is not required, but candidates must apply for admission to one of the French partner universities, as the fellowship award is conditional upon admission.

ISAE-SUPAERO (Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace) is one of France’s leading engineering schools, renowned for excellence in aerospace engineering, research, and innovation. Located in Toulouse, the European capital of aeronautics and space, ISAE-SUPAERO offers world-class programs in engineering, space systems, and aviation management. ENAC, the French Civil Aviation University, is a premier institution dedicated to aviation and aeronautics education, research, and training. Based in Toulouse, ENAC is internationally recognized for producing skilled engineers, air traffic controllers, and aviation professionals.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: United States of America
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for any subject offered by the French partner universities.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
    • Be aged 27 or under on July 1, 2026.
    • Hold a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution (obtained between January 2023 and June 2026) with a minimum GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Knowledge of French is not required for admission.
    • Applicants must apply for admission to one of the French partner universities in addition to completing a Lafayette Fellowship application.
    • The fellowship award is conditional upon admission to a partner institution.

• Three to four recommendation letters (two academic and one extracurricular)
