The College recognises that a wide range of financial concerns and pressures can face students during their studies. The King’s Student Fund has been established as a source of extra financial assistance for eligible students.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants to the King's Student Fund must be undergraduate home students starting their course in 2012 or later.

To be eligible to apply, you must:

be a home, undergraduate, full-time student;be starting your first year in or after 2012;be undertaking an undergraduate degree programme;not be on an NHS funded year of study;be liable for tuition fees of £9,000 or £9,250, paid by tuition fee loan, scholarship, yourself or another sponsor;have taken up your full entitlement to student loans for fees and living costs (if not, see here);have a household income of £42,620 or less;have given Student Finance England/Wales/NI/SAAS 'consent to share' your household income data with the College.

Application Process

Applications will open for 2018-19 in September 2018.

You can then apply online through King's Student Records.

On the first page of the King's Student Records portal, find the ‘My Fund Application’ box and select 'click here to view your funding options'.

Please ensure that you read the guidance notes carefully before completing the application form and provide all the relevant supporting documentation as soon as possible.

** Please be advised that the Student Funding Office is no longer able to accept hard copies of supporting evidence, and can only proceed with an assessment once scanned or electronic documents have been submitted.

Facilities for scanning documents can be found on every campus, including in the basement level of the James Clerk Maxwell Building. Scanning apps can also be obtained for most smart phones.

Please ensure that all documents are clearly named to prevent delays to the processing of your application. **
