KIMEP University International graduate funding opportunities in Kazakhstan for Diploma Founded in 1992, KIMEP University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Almaty (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KIMEP University (KIMEP) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 3,000-3,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. KIMEP University (KIMEP) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 27 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: All candidates can submit an application for financial aid at the time when they are applying for admission at this university.
  • Supporting Documents: The following documents must be sent with the application:
  • CV
  • Excellent English Proficiency (IELTS 4.5 and above, TOEFL IBT 70 and above, KEPT 60 and above, etc.)
  • 500-1000 word essay in English on the topic: “Challenges and opportunities for Central Asia in the 21st century: each program’s field of study”. Idea, content and English proficiency will be evaluated;
  • Portfolio:
  • Number of additional degree diplomas
  • Work experience confirmed by official document (confirmation certificate from a workplace, employment record, etc.)
  • A number of professional publications in academic journals and professional magazines, etc.
  • Certificates for extracurricular achievements
  • Results of state program exams are “pass/fail” option

  • Language Requirement: To satisfy all the language requirements of the university, you must have equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or level B2.
